🌺 Aloha, Dear Friends and Family!
It has been a crazy month! I wanted to catch everyone up on what the Lord is doing and share what happened in March, since I didn’t send out a newsletter last month.
To start, I recently lost my job due to an unfortunate misunderstanding. Despite this loss, the Lord continues to draw me closer to Him and is teaching me to trust Him for what He has in store next. This week, as I apply for other jobs, I’ve also had more time to serve in the mailroom, which has been a real blessing. My mom has been showing me how to do more there, and it has been fun learning alongside her.
I’ve also been able to catch up with some friends here, which has been very encouraging. Last week, I finished serving in the BTC—it went by so quickly! I am really going to miss the group I was working with. I was always encouraged hearing them share what they were learning about the Bible and the deep questions we were able to discuss together.
Pioneering BELT?
This past month I met with a good friend of mine who actually led my parents’ outreach team. She shared with me and one other lady about her heart for BELT. BELT stands for Bible Engagement Leadership Training. BELT was actually a big part of the Bible School for the Nations school I took in Mazatlán. Its focus is to teach people the Bible and help train them to teach others as well.
She shared with us how she would like the three of us to be in prayer about the possibility of pioneering a 1–2 week seminar to meet people’s needs through this teaching method. BSN and BELT are not very well known in YWAM, and many people have never heard about them. Yet there is such a great need for the Bible to be taught in the nations and for people to truly understand it.
So over the next month or two, I will be praying about it. YWAM Kona is in a season where people are pioneering and bringing back older schools that have kind of been forgotten. It is truly an honor that I have been asked to pray about possibly joining and helping grow a team to do this.
Internally, I also panic a little thinking, “Why me?” I sometimes feel so unequipped, and financially it can feel scary too. I have been thinking about many other things I want to do, but I know this opportunity is on the table, and I am seeking the Lord’s guidance in it for sure.
Support
I continue to pray and ask the lord for the funds and the support for what the Lord has for me to do Next wether BELT Seminar or the possibility of taking this Bible seminar in Colorado Springs
Looking Ahead ✨
I’m still praying about what the Lord has in store for this year. I have a few ideas, but I want to remain open to His timing and trust Him to provide clarity and direction.
My heart is still very much for Mexico, and I’m planning to travel across the border again at the end of the year with Clarissa. I’m also so grateful for a dear friend here who has been helping me grow in my Spanish!
Thank you all again for your continued prayers and support. I’m excited to see what God is going to do in this year.
💛 Thank You
I can’t say this enough — thank you for your continued prayers, love, and support.
God has been showing me His faithfulness in so many unexpected ways, and I know your encouragement and partnership play a big part in that.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” – Ephesians 3:20
With love and gratitude,
